Angola: Inflation comes in at highest level since October 2022 in October
Inflation increased to 16.6% in October from September’s 15.0%. October’s result marked the highest inflation rate since October 2022. Inflation has increased in recent months due to a weaker kwanza in year on year terms and the removal of fuel subsidies in early June.
Annual average inflation remained at September’s 12.8% in October.
Finally, consumer prices increased 2.15% from the previous month in October, picking up from the 2.10% rise seen in September. October’s figure marked the highest reading since September 2021.
