Angola: Inflation remains stable in May
Consumer prices in the province of Luanda rose 1.1% in May from the previous month, unchanged from April’s reading. According to the Statistical Institute , 11 out of index’s 12 components posted month-on-month price increases, led by higher prices for leisure, recreation and culture; health; and furniture, household equipment and maintenance.
In a similar fashion, inflation in the province of Luanda also remained stable at the previous month’s 17.4% in May. In turn, annual average inflation fell from 18.5% in April to 18.3% in May, the lowest print in three years.
