Argentina: Consumer confidence drops in December
The Universidad Torcuato di Tella (UTDT) consumer confidence index decreased from 40.9 in November to 39.3 in December. Therefore, the index moved further below the 50-threshold that separates optimism from pessimism among consumers.
Consumers were more pessimist over their current and future financial situation, and over general economic conditions ahead. Moreover, households’ willingness to purchase big ticket items weakened.
