Argentina: Consumer confidence rises in September
The Universidad Torcuato di Tella (UTDT) consumer confidence index increased to 37.2 in September from 37.0 in August. Consequently, the index remained entrenched below the 50-threshold that separates optimism from pessimism among consumers.
Consumers grew somewhat less pessimistic over their future financial situation and their expectations over the general economic conditions in the year ahead improved slightly. Meanwhile, consumers’ willingness to purchase big ticket items was unchanged.
