Argentina: Economic activity growth accelerates in April
The monthly indicator for economic activity (EMAE) grew 5.1% year-on-year in April (March: +4.8% yoy). The most pronounced increases were recorded in the fishing, mining and quarrying and hotels and restaurants sectors.
On a monthly basis, economic activity increased 0.6% in April, contrasting March’s 0.7% decrease. Meanwhile, the trend weakened, with the annual average growth in economic activity coming in at 9.3%, following March’s 11.3%.
