Argentina: Economic activity growth decelerates in January
The monthly indicator for economic activity (EMAE) grew 5.4% year-on-year in January (December: +10.0% yoy). The most pronounced increases were recorded in the restaurant and hotels, mining and quarrying and agricultural sectors.
On a monthly basis, economic activity fell 0.5% in January, contrasting December’s 1.1% increase. Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average growth in economic activity coming in at 11.8%, following December’s 11.1%.
