Argentina: Economic activity growth decelerates in March
The monthly indicator for economic activity (EMAE) grew 4.8% year-on-year in March (February: +8.5% yoy). The most pronounced increases were recorded in the transport and communication, mining and quarrying and hotels and restaurants sectors.
On a monthly basis, economic activity dropped 0.7% in March, contrasting February’s 1.2% increase. Meanwhile, the trend weakened, with the annual average growth in economic activity coming in at 11.3%, following February’s 12.0%.
