Argentina: Industrial output records lowest growth since February in October
Industrial production expanded 4.3% year-on-year in October (September: +10.0% yoy). October’s figure marked the worst reading since February. Looking at the details of the release, the reading largely reflected growing output in the manufacture of metal products and automotive and other transport equipment.
On a calendar-adjusted monthly basis, factory output plunged 5.7% in October (September: +5.3% mom), the worst result since May. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 14.9% in October (September: +14.2%).
