Argentina: Inflation comes in at highest level since our records began in May
Consumer prices rose 5.05% over the previous month in May, moderating from April’s 6.05% increase. May’s result marked the softest rise in prices since February. The highest price increases were recorded for healthcare, transport and clothing and footwear.
Inflation rose to 60.7% in May, above April’s 58.0%. May’s result was the highest inflation rate since our current records began. Annual average inflation rose to 53.4% in May (April: 52.3%).
