Argentina: Inflation falls again in September
Consumer prices increased 2.84% over the last month in September, above the 1.70% increase logged in August. September’s rise was primarily driven by higher prices for clothing and footwear as well as for alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
Inflation eased to 36.6% in September from August’s 40.7%, continuing its downward trend for the ninth consecutive month and logging the lowest reading since August 2018. Annual average inflation fell to 46.6% in September (August: 48.0%).
