Argentina: Inflation increases in August
Consumer prices rose 6.97% in August over the previous month, which was below the 7.41% increase recorded in July. The fastest price increases were recorded for clothing and footwear and furniture and household goods.
Inflation came in at 78.5% in August, up from July’s 71.0%. August’s figure marked the highest inflation rate since our current records began. Annual average inflation rose to 59.0% in August (July: 56.5%).
