Argentina: Inflation rises in September
Consumer prices rose 3.5% over the previous month in September, following the 2.5% increase logged in August and marking the highest reading in five months. In September, the sharpest increases in prices were recorded for clothing and footwear and alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
Inflation increased to 52.5% in September from August’s 51.4%, marking the highest print since January 2020. Meanwhile, annual average inflation rose to 44.3% in September (August: 43.5%).
