Argentina: Inflation bounces back in November
Consumer prices rose 4.3% over the previous month in November, coming in above October’s 3.3% rise and market expectations of a 4.0% increase, according to the National Statistical Institute (INDEC).
In terms of sub-components of the index, the categories of food and non-alcoholic beverages, health, transport, communication and recreation and culture recorded especially marked accelerations in price increases.
Moreover, inflation picked up pace, coming in at 52.1% in November (October: 50.5%). Meanwhile, annual average inflation edged up to 53.1% from 52.8% in October.
