Argentina: Inflation falls again in August
Consumer prices increased 2.70% over the last month in August, above the 1.93% increase logged in July. August’s rise was primarily driven by higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as for home equipment and maintenance.
Inflation eased to 40.7% in August from July’s 42.4%, continuing its downward trend for the eighth consecutive month. Annual average inflation fell to 48.0% in August (July: 49.2%).
