Argentina: Inflation plunges to lowest level since September 2018 in June
Consumer prices increased 2.24% in June over the last month, after the 1.54% rise logged in May. The sharpest price increases were recorded for clothing and footwear, recreation and culture and home equipment and maintenance.
Inflation dropped to 42.8% in June, which was down from May’s 43.4%. June’s result represented the lowest inflation rate since September 2018. Annual average inflation fell to 50.2% in June (May: 51.3%).
