Austria: Consumer confidence rises in February
Consumer confidence rose to a five-month high of minus 11 in February from January’s minus 13. As a result, the index inched closer to the neutral zero-threshold that separates pessimism from optimism among Austrian consumers.
The uptick came on the back of less pessimism regarding the financial situation of households in the year ahead and a less downbeat view on the labor market in the same period. That said, sentiment regarding the financial situation of households moderated in the month.
