Austria: Consumer sentiment deteriorates in November
Consumer confidence dropped to minus 4.0 in November from minus 2.0 in October. Consequently, the index moved further south of the neutral zero-point threshold and continued to indicate that pessimism prevailed among Austrian consumers.
The downtick came on the back of more downbeat views on the financial situation of households in the past and the next 12 months, as well as greater pessimism regarding the general economic climate in the past and next year.
