Austria: Economic sentiment eases in November
Economic sentiment fell to 79.8 in November from October’s 82.3. As a result, the index remained entrenched below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a downbeat near-term outlook for the economy.
Confidence in the services sector weakened in November, as did sentiment in the retail sector. Meanwhile, sentiment in the industrial sector languished while sentiment in the construction sector improved. Lastly, consumer confidence rose in November.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were healthier, while the economic uncertainty index rose in November.
