Austria: Industrial output expands at over one-year high quick pace in January
Industrial output expanded 2.2% month-on-month in February, down from January’s 4.2% expansion. The moderation in output growth came on the back of softer production growth in the output of durable consumer goods and capital goods, while output of non-durable consumer goods contracted.
On an annual basis, industrial production rose 12.2% in February, down from the 13.4% increase logged in January. Furthermore, the trend improved, with annual average growth of industrial production rising to 12.1% in February, from January’s 11.1% expansion.
