Austria: Industrial production growth moderates in November
Industrial production grew 3.4% in annual terms in November, decelerating from the 4.6% growth rate in October. Growth in November was driven by higher year-on-year production of construction, capital goods and inputs.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial production increased a marginal 0.1% in November, down from October’s 0.5% increase. The moderation was the result of a month-on-month contraction in the production of durable consumer goods, while energy production rebounded strongly. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production inched down from 3.6% in October to 3.5% in November.
