Austria: Harmonized inflation moderates in November
Harmonized inflation fell to 11.2% in November, following Octobers record-high of 11.6%. The softening was driven by moderating price pressures for transportation and housing and utilities. Moreover, prices for recreation grew at a more subdued pace.
Annual average harmonized inflation rose to 8.1% in November (October: 7.5%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 10.6% in November, from Octobers 11.0%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.17% from the previous month in November, which was below the 1.21% rise logged in October. November’s result marked the weakest reading since August.
