Belarus: Inflation remains stable in August
Consumer prices increased 0.18% in August over the previous month, picking up from July’s 0.07% rise. The acceleration was mainly caused by steeper growth in prices for non-food goods. Meanwhile, prices for food goods fell at a slightly softer rate.
Inflation remained at July’s 9.8% in August. Annual average inflation rose to 8.2% in August (July: 7.9%).
