Belarus: Inflation rises in October
Consumer prices increased 0.89% over the previous month in October, moderating from the 1.33% increase seen in September. The slowdown came amid lower price pressures across all subsectors, with food goods accounting for the print, as it grew at a much slower pace.
Inflation inched up to 10.5% in October, above September’s 10.2%. October’s reading represented the highest inflation rate since December 2016. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 8.9% in October (September: 8.6%).
