Belarus: Inflation declines to lowest level since February in November
Inflation eased to 13.3% in November, below Octobers 15.2%. November’s figure represented the lowest inflation rate since February. Smaller price increases for food and utilities drove the downtick. That said, transport and accommodation prices picked up slightly.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed up mildly, with annual average inflation coming in at 15.0% in November (October: 14.8%).
Finally, consumer prices fell 1.10% in November over the previous month, below the 1.00% fall recorded in October.
FocusEconomics analysts project inflation to average 13.9% in 2023, which is up 0.3 percentage points from last months forecast. In 2024, the panel sees inflation averaging 10.4%.
