Belarus: Inflation falls to a new record low in June
Consumer prices increased 0.4% over the previous month in June, contrasting the 0.3% decrease recorded in May. The rise came on the back of higher prices across all categories, with a notable increase in food prices. Meanwhile, core prices, which exclude volatile components, rose 0.5% month-on-month in June, following a flat print in May.
Inflation fell to 4.1% in June from 4.4% in May, marking the lowest print on record. In turn, annual average inflation also dropped to a record low of 4.9% in June, down from 5.1% in May.
