Belarus: Inflation jumps to eight-month high in April
Consumer prices rose 0.6% in April over the last month, coming in below March’s 0.9% rise. The result reflected higher prices for food products and non-food goods which more than offset lower prices for services.
Inflation jumped to 5.4% in April, from 4.9% in March, marking the highest reading since August 2019. Meanwhile, annual average inflation remained stable at the previous month’s 5.3% in April.
