Belarus: Inflation recedes in August
Inflation came in at 2.3% in August, down from July’s 2.7%. Price pressures for food moderated further, while non-food goods prices fell less than in the previous month and services prices grew faster.
In addition, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 8.3% in August (July: 9.6%).
Finally, consumer prices dropped 0.32% in August over the previous month, contrasting the 0.28% increase seen in July. August’s result marked the weakest reading since November 2022.
