Belarus: Inflation recedes in May
Inflation came in at 3.5% in May, which was down from April’s 4.6%. The moderation stemmed from lower price pressures for food and transport.
In turn, annual average inflation fell to 12.2% in May (April: 13.4%).
Lastly, consumer prices dropped 0.28% over the previous month in May, swinging from April’s 0.35% increase. May’s result marked the weakest reading since November 2022.
