Belarus: Inflation slides again in September
Consumer prices rose 0.5% over the previous month in September, contrasting the 0.2% month-on-month drop in August. Higher prices for non-food goods led the upturn, while food costs rebounded and prices for services rose at a faster rate.
Inflation slid to 5.3% in September from 5.7% in August, moving closer to but still remaining above the Central Bank’s 5.0% target. Meanwhile, annual average inflation remained at 5.7%.
