Belgium: Economic sentiment picks up in November
Economic sentiment came in at 88.7 in November, up from October’s 85.1. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
Confidence in the services sector improved in November, as did sentiment in the retail sector. Moreover, consumer confidence increased in November. However, sentiment in weakened in the industrial and construction sectors.
Referring to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were healthier, while the economic uncertainty index improved in November.
