Belgium: Growth slips to near two-year low in Q2
Belgium’s economy grew 0.2% quarter-on-quarter and in seasonally-adjusted terms in the second quarter (Q1: +0.3% quarter-on-quarter s.a.), according to a first estimate released by the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) on 30 July. The second-quarter reading was the weakest since Q3 2017. On an annual basis, growth consequently inched down to 1.2% from 1.3% in the first quarter.
