Belgium: Industrial production slows in October
In October, industrial output expanded 4.9% on an annual and seasonally adjusted basis, decelerating from September’s 8.0% increase. A breakdown by Belgium’s Statistical Institute reveled that a slowdown in manufacturing production, coupled with a deeper contraction in mining output, drove the monthly deceleration.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial output growth logged 3.9% in October, up from 3.5% in September.
On a seasonally-adjusted basis industrial output fell 1.8% from a month earlier (September: -1.0% month-on-month s.a.).
