Brazil: Business confidence continues to improve in October
The Getulio Vargas Foundation’s (FGV, Fundação Getúlio Vargas) industrial business confidence index climbed to 111.2 in October, from September’s 106.7 and marking the best reading since April 2011. As a result, the index moved further above the 100-point threshold, indicating optimism among businesses.
October’s jump came on the back of a notable improvement in firms’ assessments of the current economic situation, while their views of the future economic situation also turned more optimistic.
