Brazil: Business confidence hits over four-year high in March
Business sentiment in Brazil jumped in March, moving higher into optimistic territory. The Getulio Vargas Foundation’s (FGV, Fundaçao Getúlio Vargas) business confidence index rose from 100.4 points in February to 102.1 points in March, the best result since June 2013. The index thus lies above the 100-point threshold that separates optimism from pessimism among businesses.
According to FGV, firms were more optimistic on both the current and future economic situations in March.
