Brazil: Economic activity rebounds in August
Economic activity rose 0.1% in seasonally-adjusted month-on-month terms, according to the Central Bank’s monthly indicator for economic activity. The result contrasted July’s revised 0.1% fall (previously reported: -0.2% month-on-month), which had marked a three-month low.
On an annual basis, economic activity fell 0.7% in August, contrasting July’s revised 1.6% increase (previously reported: +1.3% year-on-year). Meanwhile, annual average growth in economic activity moderated from 1.1% in July to 0.9% in August.
