Brazil: Economic activity growth cools in October, marking worst reading since February
Economic activity rose 0.9% in month-on-month seasonally-adjusted terms in October, which was a softer expansion than September’s 1.7% increase and marked the worst reading since April.
On an annual basis, economic activity fell at a quicker rate of 2.6% in October (September: -1.0% yoy). Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of economic activity coming in at minus 3.9%, down from September’s minus 3.5%.
