Bulgaria: Industrial output growth moderates in February
Industrial production rose 14.4% year-on-year in February (January: +17.2% yoy). Looking at the provisional data, manufacturing production expanded at a slower pace in February, and mining output also rose at a softer rate.
On a monthly basis, industrial output dropped 0.8% in seasonally-adjusted terms in February, contrasting January’s 2.2% expansion and marking the worst result since May 2021. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 12.5% in February (January: +11.0%). This signals an improving trend in the industrial sector.
