Bulgaria: Industrial activity dips in March
Industrial production plunged 10.6% year on year in March (February: -5.1% yoy). March’s notable weakening was largely driven by a deterioration in manufacturing production. In addition, mining production fell markedly.
On a monthly basis, industrial output declined 1.0% in seasonally adjusted terms in March, contrasting February’s 0.2% uptick. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 9.3% in March, down from February’s minus 9.1% reading.
