Bulgaria: Decline in industrial output softens in December
Industrial output slid 3.3% compared to the same month a year earlier in December, which was a less pronounced drop than November’s 5.0% decrease. Looking at the details of the release, manufacturing activity rebounded from the previous month, while mining output contracted at a softer pace in December.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, industrial output grew 0.1% in December (November: -1.7% mom). Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 6.1% in December (November: -5.9%).
