Bulgaria: Industrial output contracts at softer pace in October
Industrial production dropped 3.9% year on year in October (September: -12.2% yoy). October’s result marked the best reading since February. The smaller decline was largely due to a softer fall in both manufacturing output and mining production.
On a monthly basis, factory output increased 2.6% in seasonally adjusted terms in October, rebounding notably from September’s 2.4% fall and marked the best result since March 2022. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at an over two-year low of minus 6.5% in October, down from September’s minus 5.9% reading.
