Bulgaria: Industrial output rebounds modestly in March
Industrial output rebounded on a monthly basis in March, expanding 2.3% in seasonally-adjusted terms (February: -1.1% month-on-month s.a.).
On an annual basis, industrial output rose 1.7% in working day-adjusted terms in March, contrasting February’s one-off 0.9% contraction. March’s reading reflected a more moderate contraction in mining output—especially coal mining—and a jump in the utilities supply. On the other hand, growth in manufacturing eased for a second straight month.
Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial output ticked down to 3.0% from 3.5% in March.
