Bulgaria: Recovery in industrial production continues in October
Industrial production increased 1.7% year-on-year in October, after increasing 0.1% in September (previously reported: -0.1% year-on-year). Meanwhile, average annual growth in industrial output logged 0.9%, flat from the previous two months.
October’s increase reflected a return to growth in the manufacturing sector and a faster expansion in the mining industry. However, the utilities sector contracted at a sharper pace, dragging on the headline figure somewhat. In seasonally-adjusted terms, industrial output expanded 1.1% month-on-month in October (September: +0.7% month-on-month).
