Bulgaria: Inflation jumps in May
Consumer prices rose 0.3% on a monthly basis in May, moderating slightly from April’s 0.4% rise. According to the Statistical Institute, May’s reading reflected stable or higher prices across nearly all categories of the index; higher transport prices drove the monthly increase.
Meanwhile, inflation jumped to 2.6% from 2.0% in April. Annual average inflation was stable from a month earlier at 2.1%.
