Bulgaria: Inflation moderates in February
Consumer prices increased a modest 0.1% from the previous month in February, following January’s 0.9% jump. According to the Statistical Institute, February’s increase largely reflected higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages and restaurants and hotels which more than offset lower prices for clothing and footwear and transport.
Meanwhile, inflation dropped to 3.7% from January’s 4.1%, which had marked the highest level since January 2013. Lastly, annual average inflation inched was unchanged at January’s 3.2%.
