Bulgaria: Inflation stable in August
Consumer prices inched up 0.1% from the previous month in August, following July’s 0.8% jump. According to the Statistical Institute, August’s increase largely reflected higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, health, and restaurants and hotels, which more than offset markedly lower prices for clothing and footwear.
Inflation was stable at July’s 2.9% in August, while annual average inflation remained inched down from July’s 3.3% to 3.2%.
