Bulgaria: Inflation ticks down in April
Consumer prices rebounded on a monthly basis in April, rising 0.4% (March: -0.3% month-on-month). According to the Statistical Institute, April’s reading reflected higher prices across nearly all categories of the index; higher food prices, as well as higher clothing and footwear prices, drove the monthly increase.
Meanwhile, inflation ebbed to 2.0% from 2.2% in March. Annual average inflation also ticked down, from 2.2% to 2.1%.
