Bulgaria: Inflation ticks up in October
Consumer prices jumped 0.8% from the previous month in October, contrasting September’s 0.3% drop. According to the Statistical Institute, October’s increase largely reflected a surge in prices for clothing and footwear as well as for recreation and culture, and higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Inflation inched up to 2.4% from September’s 2.3%, which had marked the lowest reading since April 2018. Lastly, annual average inflation inched down from September’s 3.1% to 3.0%.
