Bulgaria: Inflation falls to over one-year low in July
Inflation came in at 8.5% in July, down from June’s 8.7%. July’s figure represented the lowest inflation rate since December 2021. The rebound was driven by rising prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, and transportation.
Meanwhile, annual average inflation fell to 14.3% in July (June: 15.0%). In contrast, harmonized inflation rose to 7.8% in July, from the previous month’s 7.5%.
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.93% in July over the previous month, swinging from the 0.41% drop recorded in June. July’s result was the highest reading since January.
