Canada: Inflation continues to rise in February
Consumer prices increased a seasonally-adjusted 0.62% in February over the previous month, which matched January’s increase.
Inflation jumped to 5.7% in February, following January’s 5.1%. February’s figure marked the highest inflation rate since August 1991. Annual average inflation rose to 4.1% in February (January: 3.7%). Lastly, core inflation rose to 4.8% in February, from January’s 4.3%.
