Chile: Business confidence steadies in July
Business confidence came in at 37.8 in July, marginally up from June’s 37.3. As a result, the index remained entrenched below the 50-point threshold separating pessimism from optimism among businesses.
Looking at the details of July’s release, all sectors, with the exception of mining, experienced slight increases in confidence over the previous month and yet remained stuck in pessimistic territory.
